In 2022, the Museum celebrated the opening of its major exhibition "Western Edge: The Roots and Reverberations of Los Angeles Country-Rock," presented by City National Bank, with a concert featuring an all-star lineup. For the first time, that concert is available to stream. In this clip, Wendy Moten and Vince Gill perform the JD Souther song “Faithless Love," recorded memorably by Linda Ronstadt.

Born in Tucson, Arizona, in 1946, Linda Ronstadt moved to Los Angeles in 1964 to join the Stone Poneys. Going solo, she made three albums that reached #1 on the pop charts and four that topped the country charts. Whether finding musicians who became stars or songwriters struggling for recognition, Linda Ronstadt was an astute judge of talent in addition to one of the era's most distinctive voices.

An architect of the Southern California sound, JD Souther collaborated with the Eagles; wrote for many artists, including his then girlfriend, Linda Ronstadt; teamed with Chris Hillman and Richie Furay; and made eight solo albums.

Made possible in part by exhibit travel partner American Airlines.
