Guitarist David Grier on Nashville Club The Station Inn

Bluegrass flatpick guitarist David Grier talks about Nashville club The Station Inn, a longtime home and hub for bluegrass musicians and fans, during a 2021 interview at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum taped in front of the exhibition "The Station Inn: Bluegrass Beacon."

Grier discusses the bluegrass greats who've called Nashville home over the years, how the Station Inn has provided a stage and a supportive community for established players and newcomers alike, and how longtime owner JT Gray, who passed away in 2021, ensured that performers knew their musical contributions warranted focus and attention.

Hear Grier's thoughts here, and learn more about the Station Inn, its history and its legacy in the exhibition "The Station Inn: Bluegrass Beacon," open January 15, 2021 through January 2, 2022, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
