Stephen Wilson Jr. Covers Mellencamp’s “Pink Houses” at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum

In early 2026, country-rock singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. visited the Museum in support of writer-editor Erin Osmon's new book, _Won’t Back Down: Heartland Rock and the Fight for America_. The program featured a brief performance from Wilson, including this cover of the John Mellencamp classic "Pink Houses."

Wilson, who grew up in Mellencamp’s hometown, is featured in the Museum exhibit _American Currents: State of the Music_, which explores musical developments, artist achievements, and notable events shaping the genre today.
